![]() ![]() In the analysis phase, dispersion modeling was used in combination with observations to help interpret the KC-TRAQS data. In the study design phase, the presumptive placement of fixed monitoring sites and mobile monitoring routes have been corroborated using a research screening tool C-PORT to assess the spatial and temporal coverage relative to the entire study area extent. We used dispersion modeling to support field study design and analysis. The KC-TRAQS study produced a rich dataset using both traditional and emerging measurement technologies. In this study, we combine dispersion modeling and measurements from the Kansas City TRansportation local-scale Air Quality Study (KC-TRAQS) and use data fusion methods to characterize air quality. However, modeling plays a vital role in furthering the understanding of the relative contributions of emissions sources impacting the community. ![]() Monitoring-based assessments can characterize local air quality when enough monitors are deployed. Led by FEMA, the IMAAC is a partnership among seven federal agencies, each with supporting capabilities and/or responsibilities for plume modeling.Spatially and temporally resolved air quality characterization is critical for community-scale exposure studies and for developing future air quality mitigation strategies. State, local, and federal officials can request IMAAC support by contacting the IMAAC Technical Operations Hub, managed by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, at (703) 767-2003 or emailing general inquiries, please send an email to Partners The IMAAC provides plume models for real-world emergencies involving significant hazardous atmospheric releases and atmospheric modeling support for National Level Exercises and local exercises. To open a HSIN account, please contact the HSIN Helpdesk at 1-86 (available 24/7) or send an email to requesting a HSIN account and access to the IMAAC community of interest. Visit the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) to access IMAAC products.
